Membership

CCBC believes membership matters because the Bible points us toward membership for our spiritual encouragement, accountability, and instruction (cf. Matthew 18:15-17; 1 Corinthians 5:12-13; Hebrews 3:12-13; 10:24-25; 13:17). Membership commits you to the local church, and commits the local church to you.

Our membership process is three steps:

  1. Membership Classes
    • History, Vision, and Mission of CCBC
    • CCBC Confession of Faith
    • CCBC Member Covenant
    • What is the Gospel?
    • Grace Giving
  2. Membership Meeting

A pastor will meet with the prospective member to learn biographical information and listen to your testimony and understanding of the gospel.

  1. Congregational Affirmation

During a Sunday morning service, a pastor will share the prospective member’s desire for membership and their testimony. Any questions are fielded, a vote is taken, and with a majority secured the prospective members are admitted into membership at CCBC.

If you are interested in becoming a member at CCBC and making this congregation your church home for spiritual encouragement, accountability, and instruction, please let pastor Alex or Seth know and we would be happy to get you started in the process.
