Pastors at CCBC

Pastor Alex, along with Seth Daniels, are the founding pastors of Christ Community Baptist Church. Alex is married to his wife Alley, and they have two children, Anna Beth and Benjamin. Alex has lived in Prestonsburg for the majority of his life. He was a graduate from Prestonsburg High School in 2012. He then went on to attend the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2016. After completing his bachelor’s degree, pastor Alex went to Liberty University for his seminary education and obtained a degree in theology in 2018. Prior to pastoring Christ Community Baptist Church, Alex served the body of Christ as a student pastor for nearly 6 years.

In 2019 the Lord began providing Alex with a desire to plant more healthy churches in eastern Kentucky. During this time, Alex formed a deep friendship and bond with Seth Daniels as he shared the same convictions for eastern KY. To prepare for CCBC, Alex and Seth took their families to Lakeville Baptist in Salyersville to further prepare themselves for pastoral ministry until they were ordained and commissioned in April of 2022. In addition to pastoral ministry, Alex also works as an account representative for American Business Systems in Prestonsburg.

Pastor Seth is a founding pastor at Christ Community Baptist Church, as well as a barber in his hometown of Paintsville, KY. He has resided in Paintsville for the majority of his life and graduated from Paintsville High School in 2012.

Following his graduation, he joined the workforce before enrolling in Tri-State Barber College and graduating in 2017. Seth has been in ministry since 2015 as a preacher and teacher. Prior to planting CCBC, Seth spent over a year with Alex being mentored and trained under the leadership of the elders at Lakeville Baptist Church in Salyersville, KY.

Seth married his wife Hannah in May 2019, and they have one son together, Rowan.
